On this rare day when meek is strong
I am reminded life goes on
If humans fail to choose a path
To make sure we survive
I stepped outside for morning air
A gentle breeze green everywhere
An endless toll of silent bells
Our world at rest in peace
I closed my eyes to face the sun
A cloudless sky so heavy hung
With the weight of understanding
How our world will be changed
Free birds all sang their mating songs
Small critters played the whole day long
Skies deep in blue sun burning bright
The people stayed inside
No noise for creature kind today
The humans forced to hide away
And in the end I do believe
The world will be the same
So if the day should ever come
That man becomes extinct by one
At least I know that in the end
The earth will carry on
